Conferences, Workshops Provide Place To Exchange Information

One of the most important venues for the exchange of information is a conference or workshop. While JSM provides an opportunity to meet with fellow statisticians, its size and multitude of activities may make it difficult to do much in the way of research. But, a smaller, more focused meeting often is useful in generating new ideas and energizing a research community.
