Medical College of Georgia Biostatistics Department Reaches Milestones

The Department of Biostatistics at the Medical College of Georgia, the flagship health sciences institution of the University System of Georgia, has gone through a major makeover throughout the last two years. Most recently, the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia approved a doctoral program in biostatistics that is slated to start in the fall of 2008. The aim of the program is to provide rigorous training in applied and theoretical statistics that will prepare students for careers as doctoral-level biostatisticians in academia, government, and health-related industries. The department is recruiting qualified applicants, who will be fully supported by stipend packages.
