Leading Economic Forecaster Chosen as Economic Luncheon Speaker

The ASA's Business and Economic Statistics Section recently recruited Edward Learner to be this year's Economic Outlook Luncheon speaker. Learner is the Chauncey J. Medberry Professor of Management, professor of economics, and professor of statistics, as well as former chair of the economics department at the University of California, Los Angeles. He is the author of more than 100 articles and several books, including Macroeconomic Patterns and Stories and, most recently, The Craft of Economics.
