PepsiCo Wins the 2012 Stockholm Water Award

The global food and beverage company PepsiCo has been named the recipient of the 2012 Stockholm Industry Water Award. PepsiCo has successfully reduced water consumption in its production and extended its commitment beyond the company's own operations to help solve water challenges on a broad scale. The Stockholm Industry Water Award jury recognized PepsiCo's efforts to increase water efficiency. The company conserved nearly 16 billion litres of water in 2011 from a 2006 baseline by using water-saving equipment and technologies, applying creative recycling and reuse practices, and by deploying a water management system throughout its manufacturing facilities.
