Virginia beach, Va.-Service companies play a key role in getting new wells on line, including designing and implementing the initial stimulation response programs. Roger Myers, Northeast region technical manager for BJ Services, advised the Virginia Oil & Gas Association during the annual meeting's technical sessions that those firms had a role to play during the entire life of a well, especially as production techniques and the pipeline environment change. One key aspect of that help comes in scale inhibition, he said.
