Schlumberger Service Helps Shale Fractures

Schlumberger has announced the release of StimMORE, a service for diverting fracture treatments along a well bore in cemented or open-hole completions. Used in combination with the StimMAP LIVE, which collects microseismic data while the fracture treatment is pumped, Schlumberger says StimMORE allows real-time optimization of fracture treatments. The service can be used in most well geometries, and Schlumberger reports it is ideally suited to horizontal well bores, whether cased or open hole, with temperatures as high as 250 degrees F. The company says StimMORE is suitable for shale formations.
