Pulmonary Coccidioidomycosis with Peritoneal Involvement Mimicking Lung Cancer with Peritoneal Carcinomatosis

Coccidioidomycosis is an endemic infectious disease caused by inhalation of Coccicioides species in the southwestern United States (1). Some people travel to an endemic area and return home before developing the clinical manifestation of coccidioidomycosis (2). In the cases developed in nonen-demic areas, the diagnosis may be delayed or missed because of a low index of suspicion. Recently, the increase in tourism should raise the awareness for this infectious disease worldwide.
