Book review: Analysis of Variance and Covariance: How to Choose and Construct Models for the Life Sciences

摘要

An abundance of texts that describe parametric statisti-ncal theory and methods are available, especially for thengeneral linear model. It is uncommon, however, for thesentexts to provide both statistical mechanics and practicalnexamples that not only are appropriate to biological linesnof inquiry, but also serve as guidelines for developing ex-nperimental designs. Those books that perform thesentasks are, on the whole, burdened by discussions on thenbreadth of statistical methods available, without thenluxury of detailed consideration of any subset of thosenanalytical models.
