Picture the scene. Two Jhumble engineers tentatively ask their managers if they can embark on a potentially life-threatening journey to one of the world's most extreme climate zones. The engineers would need to use their whole holiday allocation in one lump and have the distraction of 30 hours a week of heavy training before the trek, fitted in around their normal working time.
