Introduction

I met Larry through a mutual friend at Babson College in 1979- Our first date was a magic performance he presented to a roomful of MIT professors. I was impressed with his intellect, quick wit, and, most of all, his great sense of humor (at times deprecating) that deflected many, sometimes hostile, questions from the professors about how he did the tricks. Throughout our 30-year relationship, Larry never failed to make me laugh with his jokes. One in particular that he often repeated was by Henry Youngman: "One man asked another man: 'Who was that woman I saw you with last night?' The man answered: 'She was no woman, she was my wife!' "
