Measuring Quality

Every cleaner thinks his quality is top-notch; however, upon questioning, they have no specific standards in use. If they do exist, when were they used last? We may rationalize and say this is the inspector's job, but how thorough is the inspector? We will never know until we have a checking procedure of some value. Some people on the floor think they can keep an eye on quality. This is true to a certain degree, but that eye doesn't see a true picture of the quality being produced. If customers are complaining, and we see few familiar faces, quality is getting to be a serious problem. You may think your quality is tops, when actually it is terrible.
