BA Breaks World Record

In support of a national charity event, British Airways has broken the world record for the heaviest aircraft pulled over 100m (328ft) by a mixed team. Staff at the Heathrow-based carrier were joined by sporting celebrities for the record attempt, which saw the 90-strong team pull an Airbus A350 weighing 182.9 tonnes over the required distance. The endeavour formed part of an exciting week of fundraising events in support of the airline's Flying Start programme. The initiative is a partnership between the carrier and Sport Relief to help disadvantaged young people.
