Fairchild to receive more Stratotankers

AS THE USAF prepares to receive more KC-46As, Fairchild Air Force Base in Washington is gearing up to accommodate an additional 12 KC-135s, transferred from McConnell AFB, Kansas, which is set to become the first main operating base for the Pegasus. As part of restructuring of the Stratotanker fleet, Fairchild's 92nd Air Refueling Wing will host the KC-135s from Fiscal Year 2020 and in the process will reactivate the 97th Air Refueling Squadron, disbanded in 2004, as well as a related maintenance unit.
