HAD 1-T Flown

Heli Air Design (HAD) of Metz, France, announced the completion of the maiden flight of the prototype HAD 1-T Helineo light helicopter (F-WHAD) on April 26. Despite poor weather conditions at Metz-Nancy Lorraine airport, test pilot Stephane Lignier was able to take the turbine-powered two-seat helicopter through a series of 15 take-offs and landings before carrying out hover-taxi manoeuvres in ground-effect over ten minutes. The company said the flights "demonstrated that the aircraft complies with earlier technical forecasts".
