Typhoon Arrives at Wittmund for JG71 Richthofen

Eurofighter EF2000 Typhoon 30+66 became the first of its kind to arrive at Wittmund air base in northern Germany on April 8. Typhoons are due to replace the final McDonnell Douglas F-4F Phantoms serving with Jagdgeschwader 71 (Fighter Wing 71) Richthofen at the airfield. Between six and eight Typhoons will be delivered to Wittmund prior to the planned departure of the last Phantoms during a specially organised event in June.
