Final Chad Spartan Airborne

The second Alenia C-27J Spartan for the Force Aerienne Tchadienne (Chadian Air Force) is expected to be delivered imminently. The transport (1402/ TT-PAH, c 4162) was seen conducting flight tests at Turin-Caselle Airport on August 28, wearing the Italian test serial CSX62294. The site is home to Alenia's test flight centre and the C-27J final assembly line. The first aircraft (1401/TT-PAG, c 4180, ex CSX62292) was spotted flying from Turin-Caselle on December 12 last year (see Chad Spartan Flying, March, p32), although its delivery has not been confirmed.
