AIRBUS HAS presented its latest CityAirbus electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) design. A fully electric vehicle with fixed wings, a V-tail and eight electrically powered propellers in a distributed propulsion system, CityAirbus NextGen is designed to carry up to four passengers, have up to 80km range and a 65kts cruise speed. Airbus said the platform would be "perfectly suited for operations in major cities for a variety of missions".
