UNITED AIRLINES recently announced its largest ever order, unveiling plans to purchase 270 new single-aisle aircraft, which will comprise 200 Boeing 737 MAXs (50 MAX 8s and 150 MAX 10s) and 70 Airbus A321neos.Combined with earlier orders, the deals mean that United will introduce more than 500 new narrowbody aircraft to its fleet over the next few years: 40 in 2022,138 in 2023 and 350 in 2024 and beyond.United will receive its initial MAX 8 this summer, with the initial MAX 10s and A321neos following early in 2023. The carrier also intends to upgrade "100% of its mainline narrowbody fleet to these standards by 2025.".
