A400M Progressing Slowly

On may 4 Airbus Military revealed that it expects to fly the A400M transport by the end of the year, although it cannot give assurances to customer nations on the cost or confirm the delivery schedule until the flight test programme is underway. Flight test instrumentation has been installed in the first aircraft and ground runs of its Europrop International TP400-D6 engines will start in the summer. The second aircraft was powered up in late April, while final assembly of the third began in May.
