Doolittle Raiders Celebrated

Threeofthefoursurviving Doolittle Raiders gathered in Fort Walton Beach, Fla., in April for what they've said will be the Raiders' final public reunion. Retired Lt. Col. Richard E. Cole, retired Lt. Col. Edward J. Saylor, and former SSgt. David J. Thatcher took part in the reunion festivities, which ran from April 17 to April 20, marking the 71st anniversary of the Doolittle Raiders' B-25 bombing raid on Japan on April 18, 1942. Retired Lt. Col. Robert L. Hite, the fourth surviving Raider, was not in attendance.
