Japanese Agriculture and Agricultural Machinery-Current Status and Problems

According to FAO, 850 million-out of 6,800 million people of the world (which means one out of 7 or 8) people, suffer from malnutrition. This number has not changed since 1990 to 1992 (FAO, 2008). Global growth of food production, especially grains, such as rice and wheat, was mainly because of growth of yield per unit area realized by the "green revolution". This revolution started around late 1960s', growing semi dwarf varieties by heavy manuring culture and irrigation.
