A NEW PHASE OF PRECISION AGRICULTURE IN JAPANESE AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPING AREA

摘要

This paper describes an actual situation of precision agriculture and the challenges about new agriculture promotion at Toyohashi area. Study group of information technology (IT) for agriculture started from May 2001 with supports by Toyohashi city and Japan Agricultural Cooperatives (JA) Toyohashi. This study group provides the platform for fusion between farmers' know-how and industrial technologies, and aims to “value creative agriculture. As the result, the promotion of the regional agriculture has advanced rapidly.
