Nigeria's president has finally chosen Kingsley Kuku as his special adviser for the Niger Delta region in the place of Timi Alaibi who left to run as a candidate in the election for the post of governor of Bayelsa state. Kuku was chosen for the advisory post over former ambassador Akpang Obi Odu. Kuku hails from the oil state of Ondo where he was a member of the local parliament. He worked in the past alongside late president Umaru Yar'Adua as adviser for the Delta.
