Dabaiba and Menfi battle it out for new diplomatic posts

With the 24 December deadline for the elections approaching, the two heads of the Libyan executive,Abdelhamid Dabaiba and Mohamed al-Menfi, are each trying to place their loyalists in embassies.Within days of each other, the two men at the head ofthe Libyan executive, Prime Minister Abdelhamid Dabaibaand the President of the Presidential Council Mohamedal-Menfi, have proposed some of their closest allies toambassadorial posts. This reshuffle of Libyan diplomacyis happening at a time when the presidential election,currently scheduled for 24 December, could see themlose their positions.
