Buhari to bring vast team to Paris in search of economic lifelines

The Nigerian president will be the star of the 11-13 November Paris Peace Forum. He will take advantage of his visit, accompanied by a huge entourage, to organise meetings with the aim of attracting new investors to a country that is experiencing a marked economic downturn. Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari will be among the most prominent guests at the Paris Peace Forum (11-13 November) and will be one of the only African leaders to deliver a speech. Buhari is expected to be accompanied by a raft of ministers - including those responsible for foreign affairs, oil, finance, energy, the Niger Delta, transport, information and agriculture - as well governors of several states. His national security adviser, Babagana Monguno, and Central Bank of Nigeria governor Godwin Emefiele, who has managed to keep his job since the Goodluck Jonathan administration, are also expected to travel with the president to the French capital.
