African special forces go window shopping at Sofins

Delegations from several African armies were inattendance at the fifth Sofins (Special OperationsForces Innovation Network Seminar) event held from 29June to 1 July at Souge camp near Bordeaux. Theyincluded senior-ranking officers from the special forcesof Senegal, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Niger, Gabon,Kenya and Tunisia. But most participants weretechnicians eager to meet with representatives from theflagships of French industry such as Thales, the dronemanufacturer Delair, the counter-drone technology firmCerbair, and the speedboat makers Sillinger and ZodiacMilpro.
