EasyJet wows investors

EasyJet has reported boosted profits, doubling its proposed dividend to investors. Its year-long results to the end of September saw revenue of £3-9bn, up 11-6%, while pre-tax profits were up 27-9% to £317m. The improved results was driven by an increase in passenger numbers of 7-1%. The airline now says it is evaluating placing a new order for aircraft from Airbus, Boeing or Bombardier.
