The Assets of the RAF Millom Museum at Haverigg, Cumbria, came under the hammer with H&H Auctions on January 30. The largest item, English Electric Canberra PR.7 WT537, went for £3,200, it is thought to a new owner in Greece; and Westland Whirlwind HAR.9XN298 went for a healthy £6,200. Neil McCarthy, who flies Jet Provost T.3AG-BVEZ at airshows, acquired the fuselage pod of D.H. Vampire T.11 XD245. It is now at his home at Seaton Burn, near Newcastle, where he will restore it before taking it to shows as a "hands-on" exhibit.
