The Boomerang was of conventional construction for the era, with a steel frame fuselage and aluminium alloy wings and empennage. The control surfaces were fabric-covered. Unusually, though, the rear fuselage had a unique covering of a three-quarter diameter-section semi- monocoque wooden shell over the fuselage frame, and an aluminium alloy lower section.
