Precise temperature control is at the heart of most of the heat treatment processesto meet the desirable requirements in terms of both the programming the set-point and achieving the temperature control over a wide range of temperature under dynamic heater load conditions. Today the Fuzzy Logic: an extension of Fuzzy Set Theory has become a modern operational technique. Explored withexisting control techniques, it hasmade a distinct but successful appearance in industrial control and automation systems. In the present paper the implementation of Fuzzy Logic Controller for small scale furnace model is communicated. The furnace model is developed from the real time response of furnace. It is used in the Simulink system to study the performance of Fuzzy Logic Controller. The experimental results have indicted the tuning of Fuzzy Logic Controller in inevitable.
