摘要

This paper is about a generic approach for design and analysis of lateral autopilot for a transport aircraft. Rudder and Aileron are the responsible control surfaces for the yawing and rolling mode in the lateral phase of the flight has to be modelled. The rudder and aileron model of the aircraft is derived from the basic lateral dynamics of the aircraft. A closed-loop control system is developed for automatic control of the rudder and aileron in the presence of any disturbance or gust. The proposed approach follows the standard practice to utilize MATLAB/SIMULINK and related toolboxes as the design framework and stability analysis of a yaw orientation control system.
