Gautam Ahuja [coauthor, "Decomposability in Knowledge Structures and Its Impact on the Usefulness of Inventions and Knowledge-base Malleability"] is the Edward C. Fruehauf Professor of Business Administration and Professor of Strategy, Ross School of Business, University of Michigan, 701 Tappan St., Ann Arbor, Ml 48108 . His research examines how firms use technology to gain and exploit competitive advantage. Recent publications include "Managerial Foresight and Attempted Rent Appropriation: Insider Trading on Knowledge of Imminent Breakthroughs," with R. Coff and P. Lee (Strategic Management Journal, 26: 791-819), and "Moving beyond Schumpeter: What the Management Literature Tells Us about the Determinants of Innovation," with C. Lampert and V. Tandon (Annals of the Academy of Management, forthcoming).
