Research into low GWP refrigerant blends has thrown up the seemingly implausible possibility of a blend comprising both "natural" and man-made components. The search for non-ozone-depleting, low global warming refrigerants has undoubtedly split the industry into two distinct camps - those promoting and enlarging the application of so-called "natural refrigerants" and those developing low GWP fluorocarbons.
