Change is happening across the air conditioning market in the UK as we emerge slowly from the pandemic. Traditional markets in the commercial sector are shrinking while new areas of revenue are beginning to appear as the way we live and work alters forever. It's no secret that the High Street has taken a huge hit during the pandemic. With online sales booming and stores closing the demand for new air conditioning systems and maintenance has slowed. The return to work in offices has begun but many employees still relish the opportunity to work from home. This has had a knock-on effect in the air conditioning sector. Systems are being used in different ways as employees with new freedoms spend less time on their employer's premises. Maybe the ac only gets switched on in chunks of days during the week as smart working patterns change mindsets and office working evolves in ways we never expected. How we sell to the end user could also change. I can see white goods' manufacturers becoming more involved in the ac supply chain. Retailers could start selling direct to the public - with maybe an installation voucher attached to the package, following the southern European model.
