Recognizing that the nature of the library catalog, as well as cataloging itself, has changed significantly in the last 23 years, editor Sally Chambers has assembled eight thoughtful papers in this collection that address the current situation as well as the future evolution of the library catalog system. Each paper considers a different aspect of the contemporary library catalog and provides insight into what the future will hold.
