Introduction to the Special Section on Internet-Scale Human Problem Solving

摘要

The past few years have seen a rapid growth of computing systems that harness the power of large numbers of people to solve difficult problems or to perform tasks that require large amounts of human effort. The processing enabled by such systems can be internet-scale in terms of the number of people involved and the ways in which they communicate; but it constitutes human problem solving in that it relies heavily on human intelligence.
