Smith & Williamson chalks up record profits

Smith & Williamson has chalked up record pre-tax profits of £25.3m for the year ending 30 April 2007, an increase of 39% on 2006. Operating income rose 13.7% to £150.5m, while pre-tax profit on investment management and banking jumped 64.3% to £13.8m, and pre-tax profit on tax and business services grew 17.3% to £11.5m.
