A record number of FTSE 100 finance chiefs have breached the £1 m pay barrier, according to figures complied by Accountancy. Some 49 out of the 92 finance directors of the UK's largest listed companies have now joined the millionaires' club, up from 41 out of 96 last year. Mining company FDs have benefited most this year, proving where there is muck there is brass. Rio Tinto's Guy Elliott, the highest paid FD, was awarded £4.65m, followed by Miguel Perry, who made £3.8m at Eurasian Natural Resources.
