Accountants demand delay to non-dom rules

Accountants have called for the government to delay introducing its non-domicile legislation after disappointment at its so-called U-turn. The Treasury still plans to charge long-standing non-doms who use the remittance basis a £30,000 annual levy from April, but last month Revenue & Customs sent a letter to 'key stakeholders' clarifying offshore income disclosure and the tax treatment of art works.
