Accountants attack non-dom plans

Proposed changes to the non-domicile rules that will undermine the privileged tax status of wealthy foreigners living in the UK have been condemned by accountants. Following on from its October pre-Budget report, the government published a consultation document last month that proposed a £30,000 annual levy on non-domiciled individuals who have been living in Britain for seven years.
