The predicted stampede to sell up before changes in capital gains tax rates bite on 6 April has failed to materialise, experts say. But with a month to go before the introduction of a flat rate 18% CGT and the abolition of taper relief, corporate finance experts have seen the acceleration of business sales that were already underway before chancellor Alistair Darling announced the changes in his pre-Budget report last October.
