BUSINESS RECORDS CHECKS PILOT EXTENDED

HMRC has announced an extension of its pilot Business Records Checks programme. The scheme was tested earlier this year and involves checking the 'adequacy' of small and medium-sized enterprises' business records. The pilot programme involved checks of the records of some 800 businesses in eight key areas of the UK (Edinburgh, Irvine, Sunderland, Liverpool, Manchester, Stockport, Sheffield and Portsmouth).
