Conry and Nelson's (1989) article, "Business Law and Moral Growth" should have alarmed business school leaders and dramatically changed the methods of student selection and pedagogy. But it didn't. They cited various studies that showed that business attracts students who use the lower Kohl-bergian stages of moral reasoning and that their education did not contribute to the students' moral growth.
