In 2006, ASCO launched the Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI) for its US members to create a standardized mechanism for multidisciplinary oncology practices to measure quality and benchmark performance to inform continuous quality improvement. Since its inception, 6,806 practices have participated, with 490,294 records (as of May 2019) included in the registry.
