摘要

Dr. Bristow is an internist in private practice in San Pablo, California, with a subspecialty interest in occupational medicine. He has just completed 2 years as Chairman of the Council on Medical Service of the American Medical Association and was recently elected to the AMA Board of Trustees. A member of the National Academy of Sciences' Institute of Medicine and a past president of the American Society of Internal Medicine, he has written and lectured extensively during the past two decades about medical socioeconomics.
