Study of the effect of the herbal composition SR2004 on hemoglobin A1c fasting blood glucose and lipids in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus

BackgroundType 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a metabolic disorder characterized by raised blood glucose levels and peripheral insulin resistance. It is an increasingly prevalent global healthcare concern. Conventional treatment options are limited and in this context, there is renewed interest in evaluating the clinical and biological effects of traditional therapies. We assess the effect of a new herbal composition SR2004 on the hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c), fasting blood glucose, and lipid profiles of patients with T2DM.
