A representative case comparing the analysis of aortic diameter, area, and thrombus volume by different tests in abdominal aortic aneurysm: (a) aorta computed tomography, (b) two-dimensional (2-D) longitudinal, (c) 2-D axial images, and (d) three-dimensional (3-D) automated software analysis. The yellow circle marks the intima-lumen boundary; the red circle, the media-adventitia interface; and blue circle, the thrombus boundary in the automated 3-D ultrasonographic software analysis in D.
