11 Views from the community: New general pediatricians and their knowledge of community-based resources

Community paediatricians are often tasked with managing children living with complex physical, developmental and mental health conditions. In order to provide safe and holistic care to these populations, paediatricians often must coordinate many different services, allied health professionals, and community resources. While training guidelines created by national accrediting bodies have explicitly called for professional competence in community resource management, there is little available research that speaks directly to this topic.
