A flow chart depicts the different experiments and experimental groups ( ) and provides an overview of the study design. An initial experiment compared the survival of animals treated with the B20 anti-VEGF-antibody and untreated controls. Survival analysis was performed according to the Kaplan-Meier product limit method and a survival curve is shown ( ). Treated animals (black line) survived significantly longer than untreated controls (dotted line; median survival with and without treatment 24 and 10 days;  = 0.0011)
