摘要

ObjectivesHypoxia has been theorized to play a role in overactive bladder (OAB) symptoms. This study was designed to test this hypothesis by studying how in vitro stretch of primary cultured bladder urothelial cells (BUC) from OAB subjects and asymptomatic subjects (NB) altered the expression of angiogenic factors: hypoxia-inducible factor 1 alpha subunit (HIF-1α), hypoxia-inducible factor 2 alpha subunit (HIF-2α), and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF).
